Anne Marie Tokash, age 63, of Claymont, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, after a brief illness. Anne was surrounded by loving family and friends.

She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Edward and Joan Watkins. She lived with her husband and two sons in Claymont. Anne graduated from St. Marks High School and went on to have a successful 39+ year career as a dedicated Senior Operations Technician at Chubb Insurance Company. Her favorite past times were spending time at the beach, especially the annual family trip to the Outer Banks, and Girl’s Weekends in Reeds Beach, New Jersey. Anne loved the holidays, baking cookies and creating flower arrangements for the whole family. Anne was a kind soul, and cared deeply about her family and friends.

Anne will be dearly missed by her husband of 33 years, George R. Tokash, Jr., her sons, George (Samantha), and Eric (Sarah). She is also survived by her siblings; Jean Watkins, Mary Watkins, Edward Watkins, Elizabeth Gillespie, Eileen Roccia (Frank), Thomas Watkins (Dot), aunts, cousins, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday November 2, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike Claymont, DE 19703, followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 West Ridge Road, Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Anne’s name to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, Delaware or to Holy Rosary Church. Condolences may be made online at

  7. My thoughts are with you and family. I work at Chubb and would see Anne often headed out for lunch. She stayed to herself but it was something about Anne that was always relaxed. Anne carried herself in such a way, as if she had no cares in the world. She was quiet but her character showed her kindness, she had a cute silence about herself. She was a lovely person and will surely be missed.

  13. Such a nice lady. I worked with her for a few years and sat across the aisle from her most of that time. Anne would always go the extra mile. She had the disturbing habit of bringing milk in a Pepsi bottle for her morning cereal.
