Simone Daniella Norville

February 11, 2019 | Newark, Delaware

SIMONE DANIELLA NORVILLE – aged 46 years, of Newark, Delaware, was born in Georgetown, Guyana. She was the daughter of Reno Norville and Joseph Martindale.

During her formative years, she attended the David Rose Community High School in Guyana. After graduating from her secondary education, she went on to study Commercial English, Shorthand and Typing at Spellman Business School.

She migrated to the USA two decades ago and obtained employment at the Bank of America in New Jersey as a Stock Broker Clerk. At the bank, Simone was regarded as the heart-warmer among her colleagues due to her charismatic and caring personality. However, it was her desire to be involved in work related to children and their welfare that led her down another path to be employed as a driver with First Student Bus Company – a position she held until her passing. Also, Simone was an ardent Interior Decorator and would transform a home in record-breaking time without much effort.

Simone, also known as Monezie and Starfire, was literally a fighter and this was a proven fact in her quest to sustain living throughout her illness.

Left to mourn are her parents (Reno Norville and Joseph Martindale), her daughters (Teola Baxter-Dennis and Saran Harry), her grandson (Josiah Cort), her siblings (Phillipa and Garfield Norville, Shaundell Norville-Bowman, Carol Martindale-Padmore, Joanna Clarke, Joel and Jonetta Martindale and Sonia Roberts). Also, left to mourn are her cousins Marcia, Deanne, Lesley, Sonia, Mark, Suzie, Akayla, Carldia, Winna and many others. Sadly, Simone leaves behind her nieces (Anyree, Patricia and Frederica), her nephews (Shamar, Cleve, Garnell, Quincy and Jamal), her aunts (Wendy, Desiree, Fay, Ingrid, Jackie, Ann, and the late Ruby Roberts), her uncles (James, Carl and the late Winston Martindale), her brothers-in-law (Andrew and Asafio), her sister-in-law (Beverley). Friends Lenox Harry, Keturah Harry, Kaye Wahrmann, Vanessa Hinds, Shaundell Moe and many others.

We, the bereaved family would like to extend our sincere gratitude towards Dr. Misleh, Goodill and nurse Amanda Zettle of Christiana Hospital; Barbara and Alexis of Delaware Hospice; Pastor Mary Cooper and the team of Victory Christian Fellowship; Gloria Peterson-Martindale and many others who supported us during this time of grief.

Funeral Service for the Late SIMONE DANIELLA NORVILLE will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 11:00 AM at Victory Christian Fellowship Church located at 100 Wilton Boulevard, New Castle, Delaware.
