Nancy Hoynowski

Nancy L. Hoynowski “Goatie”, age 76, of Newark, DE, passed away on April 27, 2026 in the Christiana Hospital.

Nancy was reunited with her late husband David Hoynowski. She was truly a kind and loving soul to all and her love and dedication to her husband and son that will be cherished forever.

Born in Maryland one of five children of the late Clemon and Ruth Ann Outten, and brothers Clemon III and Robert. She is survived by her son David Hoynowski II and her 2 sisters Sharon Dolinger and Barbara Journey all of Delaware, as well as many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She graduated from Mt Pleasant High School where she played a variety of sports including basketball and field hockey.

She was employed at DuPont Glasgow until her retirement, and loved playing softball with the company team for years.

As well as playing sports she loved following the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles. She also loved reading, doing puzzles, and watching shows like Murder She Wrote and the Golden Girls and most of all the Hallmark Christmas movies.

She enjoyed spending time at home with her son, and with friends and family, and she loved the beach.

She will be remembered and loved by all that knew her.

A visitation will be held at Brandywine Valley Funeral Care, 412 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 11:00am until 12:00pm, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00pm.  Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701
