Troy E. Nesmith

Troy E. Nesmith, 66, of Newark, DE, passed away on August 20, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Known for his infectious laugh and optimism, he put up a good fight till the very end.
Eddie worked at various horse racing tracks in Delaware for three years, and worked for 30 years at the General Motors Plant in Newport, DE.
He was a dedicated Cowboys fan and an awesome pool player.
Eddie was preceded in death by his mother and father, and is survived by his sister, Jackie Farley, and brother, Dan Gray.

My deepest condolences to Troy Edward Nesmith’s entire family. I knew him by the Ed . I met Ed at just mugs saloon in Bear Delaware in 2010. We became good friends. My heart is breaking so 💔 😢 bad. I will miss seeing Ed at the Elkton Maryland vfw hall. My name is Elizabeth Ann Murphy everyone calls me Beth. Everyone loved Ed and his laugh and sence of humor was amazing.
He was my second friend when first arrived in Delaware. We love to talk about food. We kept with the weekly food fryer. He was my very best friend I will miss him so so much. May he rest in peace 🙏 .
