George was a dear part of the Oblate community when he was with us. I considered him a friend.
May George be at peace.

George was my Freshman year English teacher in 1978 at Father Judge. We became friends bonded by a love of music and we spent many a days just listening to music and enjoying a friendship. He was a Grateful Dead fan and he tried earnestly to convert me into a dead-head. Just today I was looking at concert stubs and he had bought me a ticket for a DH concert. Anyhow it prompted me to call him today only to learn of this today.
Rest in peace and thanks for the friendship George.

Brother George was my English teacher during my Freshman year at Sallies. His speech on procrastination has echoed throughout my entire career, especially after putting off a project and rushing to get it done. “It will burrrrrrrry you!”
I’m sorry to hear of his passing. RIP Brother.
